This will be our 2nd year at the Heartbeat5000! When Barrett was born in July of 2014 we had no idea that at 2 days old he would undergo his first open heart surgery and we would forever be part of another world and the amazing family that is the CHD community. After an emergency lifeflight on a JET he arrived at Childrens Minneapolis.

The CVCC care team saved his life then and they save it every day I wake up to see his handsome face smiling at me and more recently say "Hi MOM!" There is no bigger compliment a mother can give than to hand over her baby over to be cut open and say "I trust you with his life"

Barrett could not have had a better care team than his CHILDREN*S care team that we consider family. We can't thank them enough or ever repay the value of what they gave to us.

This is why we support them every chance we can. We love them. They are family. This is why we will be a the Heartbeat5000.
