The great Sammy Schumann was born missing a ventricle in his heart.  During his first 4 years of life he underwent 4 major heart surgeries to reconstruct his heart.  His mom Stacey is a long time friend of mine (danced through childhood together, roommates at MSU).  She and her husband Mark spent many weeks/months "living" at the hospital while Sammy recovered from each surgery.  They are intelligent and discerning people, and they only sing praises of the children's cardiac unit after all they went through there.  That makes me eager to support the place that helped Sam heal!  100% of the proceeds go directly to the unit, to buy equipment or things to make it more comfortable for the families that must be there.
