Daniel Randolph Thoreson (7/12/1983-5/21/1985)

My brother, Daniel, was born with Heterotaxy Syndrome.  As a part of this, he had severe congenital heart defects.  Daniel passed away in our father's arms at 22 months old.  The shunt that had been placed during his first open heart surgery was too big, causing his little heart to fail.  The doctors did a heart cath, and during the cath, Daniel had a stroke.  Our precious little boy never recovered from the stroke.

A great deal has changed in the past 30 years.  Medical technology has transformed the lives of babies born with congenital heart defects.  I was born exactly one year after Daniel with the same condition, and am turning 29 on May 26th!  I have had three open heart surgeries and two pacemaker surgeries.  Please help raise money for this incredible cause.  No parent should have to bury their child.  With your participation and/or donation, you can help!
