As a former patient at Children's Hospitals and Children's Heart Clinic, Sara Hanzlik started this team to bring family, friends and perfect strangers together to support Pediatric Cardiovascular care at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota!

Sara was diagnosed with two congenital heart defects in 1987. At 5 months old, she had open-heart surgery to repair them and remained a patient at Children's well into her adult life, frequenting Children's for check-ups and tests. Sara was issued a clean bill of health in 2010, shortly before the retirement of her life-long pediatric cardiologist, Dr. Amarjit Singh. 

Children's of Minnesota serves nearly 55% of patients requiring cardiovascular surgery in the metro area and is a national leader in pediatric cardiovascular care, with world-class facilities. To learn more visit;
