On the day of the event, we stand there supporting one person in particular, someone near and dear to our hearts. Someone who is so strong, loving, caring, funny and a beautiful 13 year old girl. Leah has had 2 past open heart surgeries that have been both successful in their own ways. Because of those, Leah is doing great at this time. She continues to have regular checkups which help us look optimistic for a bright future for Leah.

If it wasn't for Minneapolis Children's Doctors, nurses, and cardiac floor we don't know where we would be today and for that we are eternally thankful for. So PLEASE help us come together and support this amazing cause by being a part of this big day, walking with us or donating. Remember you are not only helping our family but also for the many others and their families who go through this on a daily basis.

* On the day of the walk we will meet at Amy and Dave's house, no later than 8:00am, before we head down together to Father Hennepin Park. Upon arrival we will all have a team picture taken by the Heartbeat 5000 team.
