My name is John Ryan Celiberti, and I am thrilled at the opportunity to run the New York City Marathon this year to raise funds for the Children's Heart Foundation. Running the NYC Marathon is a bucket list opportunity for me, but it’s more than just a personal achievement. It’s an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families battling congenital heart defects (CHDs). As someone who had open heart surgery when I was a child, giving back to a charity that plays a vital role in advancing treatments and prevention of CHD through research and education seemed like an easy decision!
