The Gala: Advancing Access to Healthcare is a fundraising event supporting Hawai‘i Island Community Health Center and the patients and families we serve. Hosted by Hawai‘i Island Community Health Foundation, this special evening brings together community members, partners, and supporters to help expand access to healthcare across Hawai‘i Island.
Funds raised during the event help support medical, dental, behavioral health, and community-based programs so people can get the care they need, when and where they need it most.
Hawai‘i Island Community Health Center provides care to thousands of patients across Hawai‘i Island each year. From keiki to kūpuna, HICHC works to make healthcare accessible, welcoming, and available to our communities.
Support from The Gala helps strengthen services, expand programs, and invest in the future of healthcare on Hawai‘i Island.
Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception with entertainment and opportunities to connect with community leaders, partners, and supporters. The evening will include a seated dinner program highlighting the impact of Hawai‘i Island Community Health Center and the work being done to expand access to healthcare across Hawai‘i Island. During the program, we will also recognize Richard Taaffe for his years of leadership and service to HICHC. The night will conclude with a live auction featuring curated experiences and a paddle raise in support of healthcare access for our island communities.
Guests attending The Gala: Advancing Access to Healthcare are invited to stay at Mauna Lani, Auberge Collection, at a special discounted group rate of $425 per room, per night.
The discounted rate is available for:
Thursday, October 15 – optional pre-night, subject to availability
Friday, October 16
Saturday, October 17
Sunday, October 18 – optional post-night, subject to availability
The resort may be unable to extend the discounted rate once it reaches a certain occupancy level, so guests are encouraged to reserve their rooms as early as possible. Reservations must be booked by September 16, 2026. After this date, the discounted rate and room availability cannot be guaranteed.
Guests will receive a standard guestroom assigned according to availability. Room assignments may include a Mountain View, Garden View, Partial Ocean View, or Ocean View room. Guests are welcome to share room preferences or special requests with the Reservations Team. However, specific views and bedding configurations cannot be guaranteed at the discounted group rate. To guarantee a specific room view, upgrade to a suite, request specific bedding, extend your stay beyond the group dates, or make other special accommodation requests, please contact Mauna Lani Group Reservations directly.
Deposits and Cancellations
A two-night deposit is required at the time of booking.
Reservations may be canceled up to 30 days before arrival for a full refund of the two-night deposit. Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival, shortened stays, and no-shows will result in a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the two-night deposit.

The online booking link does not automatically generate an email confirmation. Guests who would like a copy of their reservation confirmation should contact the Group Reservations Team after completing their booking.

Formal Aloha Attire
Formal Aloha Attire reflects an elevated island aesthetic. Guests are encouraged to wear sophisticated island-inspired evening wear, including floor-length gowns or maxi dresses, as well as jackets or blazers with collared shirts and dress shoes. The cocktail hour will take place outdoors on concrete, with the main event held indoors.

Upon entering the Mauna Lani property from Mauna Lani Drive, please proceed toward the main entrance. Before reaching the main parking lot and valet area, take a left at the parking gate. An attendant will be present to direct traffic to the gala location. Valet parking and self-parking will be available for all guests.
