Why Help Kidsave? Because family makes all the difference! Globally, an estimated 2-8 million children are in orphanages. In the U.S. an estimated 400,000 children are in foster care. Many countries and an untold number of children are not included in these estimates. And while many governments do their best to help, older kids are continually left behind.
Solutions exist. Hosting Puts Kids in Families. Hosting children through weekend and summer visits with safe and caring families helps shine a light on older children who need families but are often overlooked. Hosting gives kids the opportunity to experience family life and to meet people who might adopt them. It also engages the community in new ways around children in foster care and institutions who have long been hidden from view. Your donation and participation helps us put kids in families.
