Every dollar we raise can have a ripple effect for kids looking for a forever family.  For Dr. Loftus and Blakely this a personal journey. We have been trying to expand our family and bring children into our life for some time. When we found out about Kidsave we were overjoyed and eager to help. Did you know over 3,000 children, ages 9 – 17, are waiting for adoption in Texas right now?

Kids just like Luna, who was adopted in January 2024 after being in foster care for years. 

Luna met her Mom and Dad, Stuart and Sydney, through a Weekend Miracles program at the Kidsave Hike event in 2022. There was an instant connection! We are so happy to see them celebrating every day together as a forever family. Read more about Luna’s adoption story!

Hike Details

Where:  Rob Fleming Park 6055 Creekside Forest Dr. The Woodlands 77389
When:  Saturday, November 9 - 9 am Check-In, 10 am Hike
Parking:  Parking is free but carpooling is recommended if you bring a group. 
Cost:  The hike registration fee is $25 (kids 19 and under are free). Registration includes a free t-shirt and a picnic lunch provided by Kidsave afterwards.

By shining a light on them and giving them the opportunity to meet and get to know adults who will become lifelong mentors or adoptive parents, we empower them with a voice and a choice in who they connect with and who becomes their family.

These kids form meaningful, trusting, and lasting connections with adults who commit to being there for them, no matter what.
