Dear Friends,
During my 7 years volunteering for the Hitchcock Center for the Environment, and my current term as president, so many of you have generously done a great deal to support our important work. My deep thanks go out to all of you.
Now, we are facing environmental threats that we have never faced before. As governments withdraw from their past pledges to design for a carbon-free future, it has become clear that only through our local work, our community action, and personal commitments, will we make progress in protecting this precious planet for generations to come.
Hitchcock has been preparing for this fight for a long time. We have expanded our programs and continue to extend access to a wider and more diverse community. Our collaboration with other organizations has grown throughout the Pioneer Valley, sharing new ideas and drawing on the power of so many dedicated people.
We are all looking to take meaningful actions in a chaotic present. Please know that each contribution you make is an action for our children, our communities, and our planet.
With deep respect and gratitude,
Rhea
