I am fundraising in support of urban nature and the UEC because ...
Pete and I met a couple following a car accident (thank God no one was hurt!) over the summer. As we were waitiing along the interstate for a tow, a deer was bounding across the other side of the highway. The woman, who was the same age I am and had lived in Milwaukee her entire life, had never seen a deer alive. It reminded me how important it is to be connected to nature, no matter where we live!
