From their first steps on the stage during the Rose Ceremony, to performing in the Hilltop Circus and class plays, to completing a Capstone presentation at the high school, every High Mowing student has transformative opportunities to realize their unique potential.
On May 9, 2026, our community of alumni, parents, faculty, and friends will come together for our Founder’s Day of Giving to celebrate The Art of Becoming: the creative and courageous spirit that has guided High Mowing students since 1942. Our founder, Mrs. Beulah Emmet, had a vision for a school during a tumultuous time in the world. She turned her family’s idyllic summer home into the robust, global learning community we know today. Her spirit of determination and generosity have provided a foundation for generations of students to learn and grow.
This year’s theme celebrates the arts and movement experiences our children love, from plays and music to circus and more, and how these experiences shape the children into confident, creative, and compassionate human beings!
Our goal is to raise $150,000 from 100 donors. To achieve this, we’re thrilled to announce two special $50,000 incentive challenges:
- First $50K Match: Every dollar you give will be matched 1:1 up to $50,000
- Second $50K Match: Once 100 donors contribute, an additional $50,000 will be unlocked
