To my family, friends, co-workers, co-laborers in the mission field of prison ministry, Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, The Divine Nine, Facebook friends and friends of friends; most if not all of you know my story and that of my family.

I have lost my Grandmother, Annie Mae Coney, Mother, Latha Mae Watkins, Godmother Dorothy Jean Dewdney Rix, Brother, Bruce Edward Watkins, my wife, Bernadette Gail Croskey Al-Khatib and many other family and friends to cancer. My son, Mikal Karim Al-Khatib is a cancer survivor and I have other family and friends that are survivors or are currently fighting the good fight.

Finding a cure for this terrible disease is personal with me, as a care giver and one who has observe the consequences up close and personal I'm committed to working to find a cure.

I'm asking you to join me in this fight by donating to this worthy cause; I've set a goal of $1000.00, however, I desire to raise five times that amount or $5000.00.  Let's make it happen!
