I'm excited to run for the Lakeland Regional Health Cancer Center downtown Lakeland on Feb 27! Like many others, I've had several friends and family who have had fights with cancer including both my parents. It takes great strength and support from all the friends, family, doctors, nurses, and the hospital itself to aid someone with their fight.
As a teenager, my family helped my mother through her fight and ultimate loss with Pancreatic cancer. That was a very difficult time for all of us and my heart goes out to every family who has a similary story.
