One Hope United (OHU) invites you to our Holiday Hope Brunch on Saturday, December 6th. You will enjoy some wonderful food while supporting a great cause. The brunch fundraiser will also have a brief program and silent auction.
OHU is a nonprofit providing early childhood education, child and family services, behavioral and mental health resources, and residential programs for 130 years. We’re proud to serve over 10,000 children and families each year across Florida and Illinois. Through our evidence-based and trauma-informed practices, we empower children and families to see and create a future where, regardless of their past, they can reach their full potential.
Every donation raised at this event will support our innovative Hope House program—family-like homes for youth ages 13–17 in the child welfare system. These homes provide stability and connection to youth who, on average, have experienced 17 different placements before arriving at a Hope House. In these homes, youth are 5x less likely to run away and 6x less likely to require crisis intervention than their peers in state custody. Youth don’t just find shelter at a Hope House; they find a place to belong, heal, and prepare for adulthood. This happens through learning to cook, budgeting, celebrating milestones, or simply having someone believe in them.
