Greetings! For the last four years, I've spent the majority of my time noticing how pervasive the issue of homelessness is in Los Angeles, without doing much to address the problem. As I'm graduating this spring, I believe that it's time to turn thoughts into actions. After enrolling in a course (https://dornsife.usc.edu/fix) focused on building cohesive solutions to end homelessness in my final semester at USC, I have become all the more motivated to do my part. I am extremely confident that United Way will deliver on their mission to end homelessness in Los Angeles County, and I am honored to be involved in this movement! A special thanks to United Way's Director of Public Affairs, Tommy Newman, for sparking my interest in Homewalk and effective community organizing.
The effort to end homelessness begins with a single step. Join me in taking strides to solve this problem:
$10: A shoutout on my running instagram, @milesofmenon!
$20: A video message from me and a fellow Homewalker on May 18th
$50: A stretch named in your honor, created by yours truly, that I will post on Instagram!
$100: All three of the above, plus a handwritten Thank You letter!
