I first learned about Tacoma Community House when I was searching for charitable organizations that helped those who were ineligible to receive the federal stimulus during the pandemic. My friend, Manny Santiago, had posted about TCH and I was interested in the work they did to help immigrants and refugees learn English, find employment and work to obtain citizenship. A few years later Manny asked if I would be interested in being on the Board of Directors. I did my research into this 113+ year organization and found that they did so much more to help the community, before accepting the invitation. TCH's REACH program helps youth and young adults ages 12 to 24 that are struggling with housing instability with rental assistance as well as to navigate much needed services. I am honored to serve as Board Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee and ask that you consider donating to support their important work this Holiday Season during their Annual Appeal.
