Yet, too many children in Colorado experience abuse. But we have the power to change that. By speaking up, stepping in, and supporting organizations like the Denver Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC), we can ensure children get the safety, healing, and hope they deserve.

As a child trauma therapist, I see firsthand how resilience grows when kids have the right support. At DCAC we are at the front lines—strengthening families, providing therapy, giving children a voice, and working to prevent abuse before it happens. I am passionate about the work that I do, and I truly believe that DCAC is a place where healing happens; I see it firsthand every single day.

Last year alone, DCAC:

♥ Reached 5,308 children, 541 parents, and 430 teachers through community outreach and prevention.
♥ Conducted 843 forensic interviews to help children tell their stories in a safe and supportive space.
♥ Provided case management, mental health assessments, and treatment for 614 children on their path to healing.
