When you hear the word Hunger what comes to mind? Answer: Food. Not many people have access to food within our local communities. Here at Catholic Charities we are working hard and tirelessly to make sure that we can provide food to those in need. What we have found is many people cannot get to us, so we go to them. How do we do this? Our Pantry is not like any normal pantry, we reach out to the community by doing deliveries, mobile pantries, pop up food give a ways, distributing food from our center, and we partner with case workers, churches, and schools throughout Lake County to distribute food. Our mission is to reach the elderly, sick, disabled and families by providing them with nutritious food. We are asking you to partner with us by donating to this year’s 2020 Hunger Hike. All donations will be used to purchase food for the pantry. We at Catholic Charities understand that times are hard and uncertain but scripture says “ Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.” (Proverbs 19-17).
