Since 2000, The Jewish Relief Agency (JRA) has been a lifeline for thousands of people in our Greater Philadelphia community. Founded on the belief that no one should go hungry, JRA has developed a comprehensive approach to address food insecurity. Every month, with the help of hundreds of volunteers, the organization delivers shelf-stable food, fresh produce and essential items like toiletries, menstrual products, and school supplies to 6,500 of our neighbors.

Most of us can’t imagine what it feels like to be perpetually hungry or to face unimaginable choices between food and other essentials. But in our area, 23% of residents live in deep poverty, making less than $26,000 a year, and grapple with these decisions daily.  And unfortunately it is only getting harder with rising food costs and decreasing available social services. 

JRA is determined to tackle this issue head-on and ensure that families receive the holistic support they need.

And with your help, we are rising to this challenge with the Hungry At Home campaign. 

This campaign replaces our usual annual event, so that every dollar can be used to meet the mounting needs of those that JRA serves.  Every contribution goes directly to ensuring that families have access to the resources they need to live with dignity.
