In the wake of Hurricane Helene, Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina is urgently mobilizing resources to provide immediate relief to families devastated by this historic storm. Ten counties in our service area are facing severe impacts from flooding and power outages, including extensive damage to several of our local food assistance partners' facilities. The road to recovery will be long, and Second Harvest Food Bank, Feeding the Carolinas, and our partners will be there to help ensure our neighbors have the sustenance they need to navigate the challenges that lie ahead. Every day, Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC helps local families in need of food assistance working with nearly 500 on-the-ground partner programs serving 18 Northwest North Carolina counties.
