The International Longshore & Warehouse Union Local 502 has been proudly representing longshore workers on the Fraser River since 1944. ILWU Local 502 is the exclusive bargaining agent for over 3000 men and women along the Fraser River stretching out to Roberts Bank.

We are a rank-and-file Union. We encourage membership participation in the affairs of the Union, and we represent our Members in numerous forums of interest on the Federal, Provincial and Municipal scenes.

ILWU Local 502 has over half a century of experience, skill and success in improving the lives of working people. We give back to the communities that we work and live in by supporting such organizations as the Surrey Food Bank, Bridgeview Community Festival and the BC Children’s Hospital.
