Jordan was directly affected by intensified conflict in Palestine and the refugee crisis in Syria. Within the last two years for every 89 refugees there are 1,000 Jordanians. Though the Jordanian government has issued thousands of work permits for refugees, many still remain severely under-resourced. Thousands of refugees face hunger and exposure to brutal weather this time of year.

The humanitarian situation in Jordan is concerning:

• The majority of Syrian refugees in Jordan live in urban areas and in poverty
• 80% of Syrian refugees live below the poverty line
• 51% of refugees are children, and 4% are elderly.
• 740,160 refugees in Jordan

The situation across Jordan is dire, but we envision a better world for our sisters and brothers in need, and together with you, we can make that vision a reality.
