A Country Caught between Drought and War

One of the poorest countries in the world, Niger ranks 189 out of 189 on the United Nations Human Development Index. Much of the poverty is driven by drought or war. And because its economy is not diverse, it is quite vulnerable to fluctuations and falls.

But the people of Niger remain resilient through it all, using the resources available to them to cope and thrive through the difficult times.
