Since the Taliban took over Afghanistan in 2021, the United States has gotten over 80,000 Afghan refugees. Now Afghan refugees are in desperate need of our resistance.
American troops pulled out of Afghanistan, and on May 1, 2021, the Taliban took control. Since then, the U.S. has gotten over 80,000 Afghan refugees. They are now the third-largest displaced population in the world.
The US Government provides 6 months of monetary assistance for Afghan refugees. However, since many came with big families, they're struggling to make ends meet when their aid runs out. Some even had to go back to Afghanistan because their situation here was so bad.
