Carren Oler z”l, a cherished member of the Rockville, Maryland Jewish community, passed away at the age of 74 on December 19th, 2024 after a valiant fight with breast cancer. Research funded by the Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF) led to the discovery of a drug that extended her life and gave her hope and more time to be with loved ones. The family requests that donations be made in her memory to ICRF.
Carren was the beloved mother of Elisa (David) Mitchell, Jonathan (Ferrinne Spector) Oler, and Avi (Alisa) Oler. She was the adored Bubbie to her grandchildren Sam and Tom Mitchell, Ruben, Freyda, and Lev Oler, and Nathan and Benny Oler. She was a dear sister to Vivien (Shelley) Brown and Eric (Sharon) Perelman, and a cherished aunt and great aunt to many.
