• Ask one or two employees to serve as Event Coordinators who work with JA staff to set participation and fundraising goals, as well as the date, time, and location for the event.
• Participants form teams of five and are asked to collectively raise at least $750. To celebrate everyone’s fundraising success, teams come together and enjoy 2.5 hours of bowling, pizza, music, and giveaways.
• Individuals who raise at least $300 will receive an additional prize and recognition from JA at the event.
• To ensure 100% of proceeds raised are used to provide fantastic learning opportunities to local students, it costs $40 per person to participate in the event. The company has the option to cover this fee.  
• Companies also have the option to make the JA Bowl-A-Thon an employee appreciation event by making a $100 contribution on behalf of each participant, instead of asking employees to raise money.

Every participating company is asked to raise or give at least $2,500 to support JA. Companies that would like to request a specific date, time, and location are asked to raise or give at least $10,000.
