I am participating in the Junior Achievement (JA) Bowl-A-Thon with my company,  Prologis, and we've set a goal to raise $30,000 to support JA's world-class fiscal education and career guidance for disadvantaged youth. I'd be honored if you would consider helping us meet our goal. 

I volunteered at the JA Dream Accelerator earlier this year, seeing firsthand how JA puts its resources to practical use. The Dream Accelerator is a modern, ingenious, interactive facility that helps kids learn about career opportunities based on who they are, their interests, and their strengths.

JA participants receive critical financial literacy, work and career readiness, and entrepreneurial lessons from business and community role models. For example, JA Finance Park offers a unique learning experience. Students step into the shoes of adults for a day, making real-life decisions about individual family budgeting, including housing, transportation, food, utilities, healthcare, investments, philanthropy, and banking.

Perhaps the most exciting simulation program is the Stock Market Challenge: a live stock market game featuring teams of high school students who compete to see who can grow their initial $500,000 investment into the most considerable net worth "mock" stock portfolio. The challenge offers a taste of what it's like to build a portfolio, manage risk, and experience its performance in a compressed time.

JA provides these programs at no cost to schools or families thanks to the generosity of donors, so when you make a gift, you know that you are making a difference.
