After JA programming:

Most importantly, Junior Achievement offers a newfound hope for those desperate to change their circumstances as discovered by this JA Company Program student:

I had a student this year who is considered a "troubled youth." He has a rough home life with little direction. He is responsible for raising himself and feeding himself. He really took to the idea of being an entrepreneur. During this semester, his [improved] behavior increased tremendously. He shared with me that he didn't want to get in trouble because he didn't want to miss [Junior Achievement] Business Management class. He enjoyed creating and running our business so much that he shared with me that he has a lot of ideas in his head that he is working on business plans to put into motion for this summer.
