AK Doing Work for the Kids!!

Greetings Friends, Family, Co-Workers, Peers, Clients and Supporters for a Better Tomorrow one and ALL, I'm raising money for Robert Half's Annual Bowl-a-Thon supporting Junior Achievement of Central MD which helps prepare our youth with much needed life skills to create a better tomorrow for Baltimore. I would like to ask you to support the cause and make a donation to my fundraising page: https://secure.qgiv.com/event/account/781754/ All donations are secure and sent directly to Junior Achievement of Central MD by FirstGiving, who will email you a printable record of your tax deductible donation. Please share my page with any of your friends, family and extended network that may be inspired to donate as well and make a difference for the youth of Baltimore City and Central MD. Thank you for your support! All the Best, Amy Keitt

Junior Achievement is turning the tide and helping young people face the challenges of the real world. JA is the largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. Junior Achievement’s kindergarten through grade 12 programs—in the core content areas of work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy—ignite the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work and life in the 21st century.

Over 50% of the 43,000 students Junior Achievement will reach during the 2018-2019 school year are at-risk.   These students need our help if they are to break out of the financial and social situations that they find themselves in today.  They are members of financially challenged families so focused on getting through the day that the ability for these young students to focus on the future – to imagine “what they will be when they grow up” – is all but taken away from them.  In the face of food, clothing and shelter instability, there is little room left to dream.

JA programs break down these barriers and re-inspire students about life’s possibilities.  Early intervention is essential.  Your support of Junior Achievement and the JA Bowl-a-Thon will help these students build life skills and a system that supports 21st Century work readiness education and crisis intervention, imperative to breaking the cycle of poverty.
