Create your own personal text code. All donors have to do is text the event code, your code and the amount they want to give and their donation will go right to your personal fundraising total.

Instructions:

1. Log into your account at https://secure.qgiv.com/event/janysuperbowlathon/login/

2. Hit My Fundraising Tools in the upper right corner

3. On your fundraising Dashboard page, scroll down to Get the Word Out and hit the Texting tab. Select Get Started with Text Giving.

4. Select Create Text Codes. You’ll be presented with an area to create your own code. If you’re a team captain, you’ll see additional options to complete an identical process to create keywords for your team and/or classification.

5. Keep it short and easy. Something like a short nickname or perhaps first initial, last name might be a good idea. Then hit I’m Finished.

6. Now spread the word! All your donors have to do to support you is send a text message to 50155 that says JANYSUPER your personal code and the amount they want to give!

7. Sample text to send to your friends and family:

Hey! I’m bowling for JA New York, an amazing organization that gives kids the skills they need to lead and succeed in the real world. To support me, send a text message to 50155. All you need to type is “JANYSUPER yourcode & the amount you want to give”!
