Donation request for family and friends

Hey ______,

I am participating in the JA Bowl-A-Thon this year, a fundraiser for Junior Achievement (JA), and was hoping you would consider supporting me by making a donation. JA is a non-profit that teaches K-12 students how to succeed in a global economy.

I hope you will consider making a contribution and who knows, you could be one of two lucky winners to win the Southwest drawing! To donate to my page on the JA Bowl-A-Thon website click the link below.

Donation request for colleagues and acquaintances

Dear _____,

I'm reaching out because I believe you are the ideal person who can help change a child's life! Ensuring that students have high ethical standards, quality economic education, and a well-founded understanding of the free enterprise system is important. That is why I am supporting Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain, Inc. (JA) by participating in their largest fundraiser, the JA Bowl-A-Thon!

I am asking you to join me by making a donation that will have a significant impact on children in our Denver community and could potentially benefit you as well!

Please sponsor me by clicking on the link below and donating to this effort.

Donation request with JA mission story

Dear _____,

There are so many worthy causes that you could support but I hope you will considering supporting me as I participate in the JA Bowl-A-Thon for Junior Achievement. Junior Achievement is one of those organizations fighting for a worthy cause: to empower Colorado students to own their economic success. I could tell you that JA reaches 126,000 local K-12 students and explain their programs but instead, I will share with you a story of one of the many students that JA has impacted...

Meet Eli. Eli is 14 and lives in the Holly neighborhood; a Denver community plagued with gang violence and youth who have few, if any, positive role models. Along with 21 fellow JA "achievers", Eli participated in a JA Job Shadow excursion and experienced his first elevator ride to the 44th floor of a beautiful downtown Denver office building filled with people who are passionate about their work and their lives.

How can young people like Eli get excited about their future when their vision of the future is not about to what heights they'll scale, but how soon they might fall? That day Eli saw how high he can climb. In his words, "The best part about today was hearing that stereotypes don't define me, and I can do anything I put my mind to."

Eli is just one student that has been impacted by Junior Achievement and I hope to play a small part in allowing them to expand horizons for Colorado's youth.
