An Evening of Promise

Thursday, September 17th from 7:00-8:00pm

In an effort to keep our partners and supporters healthy, we have made the decision to convert our annual gala into a virtual event. We are thrilled to be partnering with Action News Jax to feature our program via their Facebook Live stream! Their well-known evening anchor, Tenikka Hughes will serve as our emcee for the evening. Monies raised will support both our Nemours heroes and our patients and their families that have been directly impacted by COVID-19.

Register by September 16th and you’ll be entered into a raffle to win a $500 VISA gift card! The winner will be announced during the live program. You don’t want to miss this interactive and fun evening featuring music and entertainment from The Royals band, impactful patient stories, messages from Nemours leaders, an online auction, a surprise celebrity appearance and more! It will be a wonderful evening celebrating our patients and health care heroes.

COVID – 19 Community Response Fund:

When the world shut down, our health care heroes stepped up. As a children’s health system, everything we do is driven by empathy and integrity, not cost. We are facing new challenges to keep our associates and families safe and healthy, like investing in COVID – 19 safety precautions and preparing our facility to care for more patients. Ensuring this quality of care and safety comes at a significant price. Your support of this event offers hope to our children and also to the amazing caregivers working tirelessly to look after them.

The Nemours Patient and Family Support Fund:

Our families, 51 percent of whom are Medicaid recipients have been disproportionately impacted by working in jobs and sectors which were deemed non-essential. Many families have appealed to this fund to assist them with a wide range of wrap-around support services ensuring their ability to maintain both access and continuity of care, as well as necessary equipment to maintain their medical care and safety at home. The Patient and Family Support Fund assists Nemours families in the following ways:

  • Transportation assistance
  • Lodging for onsite appointments
  • Dietary education programs
  • Home and Hospital meals
  • Grocery store gift cards
