It's a long story about how I became a volunteer for Joseph's House in 2020. Let's just say it was meant to be.
Since then I've been so incredibly impressed with this organization. Way beyond any expectations. The staff is as equally skilled and knowledgable as they are humble and compassionate. The support they provide for the city of Camden and South Jersey goes way beyond "homeless shelter." During the pandemic, when the biggest public service agencies in Camden were restricted in their capabilities, they were sending people to Joseph's House becuase they knew the team there was still able to support people with a myriad of services.
I've also learned so much about the "guests" of Joseph's House. The ones who are military veterans, PhD holders, victims of sex trafficing, victims of pain medicine addiction, striving fathers, underestimated mothers, and so many more meaningful lives who just need a small bit of support and compassion to get back on track.
