Immerse yourself in the landscapes and adventures of JORDAN. Grab a good pair of hiking shoes and wander through the mesmerizing desert of Jordan, from Petra to Wadi Rum.

Between November 4 - 12, you will get the full experience of exploring through Jordan, as our itinerary will be jam packed with hiking, biking, and horseback riding all to support vulnerable Syrian Refugees living within Jordan. Be prepared for a trip of a lifetime!

Support Syrian Refugees in Jordan

Through the Jordan Challenge you will visit an Islamic Relief project focusing on providing Syrian refugees with Shelter, Education and Protection Services. All participants will receive an email with a link to their personal crowdfunding page. Your goal is to raise $2,500

PACKAGE & INFORMATION

What will Islamic Relief cover with your registration?

  • Transportation within Jordan, including to/from airport in Amman
  • 7 night accommodation
  • 3 meals/day, except arrival/departure days (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
  • Rentals: bicycle, jeep tour, horseback riding, other means of transportation within Jordan
  • Entrance fees for sites/parks

What will I (you) have to cover?

  • Transportation to/from Amman, Jordan(Flight + Baggage expenses)
  • Selected meals on arrival/departure dates
  • Snacks outside of meals
  • Souvenir/Gift Shopping
  • Personal Expenses
  • Medical Expenses (travel Insurance is required)
  • Hiking Equipment (boots, poles)
  • All other expenses outside of Islamic Relief Challenge (extra tours, stays, transportation, meals)

  • Physically fit 
  • No serious medical/health conditions that could affect the well-being (ie. physical injuries, heart condition, pregnancy) *Consult with your doctor
  • Must sign release waiver
  • All participants must raise 75% of fundraising goal ($2,500) prior to travel

  • Arranged Airport Pick-Up from Queen Alia International Airport

 

DAY 2 - SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 5th
Travel: Amman, Jordan - Field Project |   Activity: Project Visit  |  Overnight: Amman, Jordan

  • Visit Islamic Relief Jordan office
  • Visit Islamic Relief funded projects supporting Syrian Refugees

 

DAY 3 - SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 6th
Travel: Amman, Jordan - Field Project |   Activity: Project Visit  |  Overnight: Amman, Jordan

  • Visit Islamic Relief funded projects supporting Syrian Refugees
  • Meet with Islamic Relief Jordan field officers

 

DAY 4 - MONDAY, NOVEMBER 7th
Travel: Amman, Jordan - Petra |   Activity: Hike, Explore  |  Overnight:  Petra, Jordan

  • Drive: Amman to Petra
  • Walk through the ancient Siq of Petra (1.2KM)
  • Hike: Monastery to Little Petra (18 KM)

 

DAY 5 - TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8th
Travel: Petra - Wadi Rum |   Activity: Horseback Riding, Jeep Tour, Explore  |  Overnight:  Wadi Rum, Jordan

  • Horseback Riding: Petra to Little Petra’s High Mountain
  • Jeep Tour: Petra to Wadi Rum
  • Desert Hike (5KM)
  • Visit Bedouin Village

 

DAY 6 - WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 9th
Travel: Petra - Wadi Rum |   Activity: Hike, Explore  |  Overnight:  Wadi Rum, Jordan

  • Hike: Jabal Umm ad Dami (highest mountain in Jordan, 1854m elevation)
  • Lunch at Bedouin Camp
  • Hike: Al Nograh Canyon (total 18KM)

 

DAY 7 - THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 10th
Travel: Wadi Rum to Madaba |   Activity: Bike, Explore  |  Overnight:  Madaba

  • Drive: Wadi Rum to Madaba (famous mosaic 6th century map of Palestine in St. George’s church)
  • Bike: two of Jordan’s major Wadis, Wadi Zarqa-Ma’in & Wadi Hidan (60KM)

 

DAY 8 - FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 11th
Travel: Madaba - Amman |   Activity: Hike, Explore  |  Overnight:  Amman, Jordan

  • Explore

Travel: Amman-Home |   Activity: Travel Out  |  Overnight:  Amman, Jordan
