Walking in Faith for Noah – Trusting God’s Perfect Plan

This year, our family is taking part in the annual Down Syndrome Walk in Oshawa, and we’re walking with hearts full of love, faith, and gratitude — all because of one very special little boy: our son, Noah.

When Noah was born and we learned he had Down syndrome, our world shifted. We had moments of uncertainty, fear, and a thousand questions. But even in the midst of it all, one truth stood firm: God is in control.

We believe, with all our hearts, that Noah is a beautiful gift from God — fearfully and wonderfully made. We know that God has incredible plans and purposes for his life. Noah isn’t here by accident. He is here on purpose, for a purpose.

We believe Noah will fulfill all the plans and purposes that God has for him — and that along the way, he will inspire us, teach us, and draw us closer to God’s heart. Through his life, we already see love more clearly, grace more deeply, and joy in the simplest things. His extra chromosome is just one more way God shows us how extraordinary His creations truly are.

This walk is about raising awareness, building a supportive community, and standing up for inclusion — but for us, it’s also a step of faith. A declaration that we trust God’s plan, and that we believe in the beautiful future He has for Noah and for all individuals with Down syndrome.
