Now more than ever, food is a serious need in our region, where 1 in 10 individuals in Mercer County are hungry.
Feeding America released its newest data in April of this year, showing what we at JFCS, and those in the food insecurity arena already knew...more people are hungry.
At JFCS, we have seen a dramatic increase in demand for food programs over the past year, including:
- More seniors turning to our Kosher Cafe and Kosher Meals on Wheels for supplemental meals
- Our Mobile Food Pantry making over 30 stops per month
- Our on-site brick-and-mortar pantry seeing nearly 3x as many families per month vs 2023
Event proceeds benefit all JFCS food distribution programs.
