When students participate in Junior Achievement of Central Virginia’s (JA) programs, they learn critical life skills that can help them choose career paths, budget their money, and think entrepreneurially.
With a mission to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy, JA of Central Virginia works with hundreds of educators, over 1,000 volunteers, and approximately 20,000 students annually in the Greater Richmond Region.
The organization has served the community for over 50 years by training volunteers to teach lessons to students in elementary, middle, and school. These dedicated volunteers mentor and share life experiences in order better prepare our young people for adulthood, providing them with the resources and skills to succeed.
Your donation helps support JA of Central Virginia’s mission. You can make a difference for young people and help them find their drive, realize their potential, learn how to be financially responsible, and gain the knowledge and skills that will advance them toward a life-changing career.
“I learned that you have to properly manage your money so that you can try to afford the life you want to live.”
~ Henrico HS Student
“I like everything about the program, but my favorite part was looking at the different types of careers.”
~ Douglas S. Freeman HS Student
