K9s For Warriors

Determined to end Veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors provides highly-trained Service Dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma. With the majority of dogs being rescues, this innovative program allows the K9/Warrior team to build an unwavering bond that facilitates their collective healing and recovery.

Why I'm Fundraising

K9s For Warriors changed my life by pairing me with my service dog, Nola. He has been my constant support and has helped me find light again during some of my hardest moments. Because of him, I’m able to show up stronger both mentally and physically.

 

This year, I’m challenging myself to run a 50K ultra as a way to give back to the organization that gave me my best battle buddy. Every mile I run is in honor of veterans who deserve the same support and life-changing partnership that I received.
