About the Marine Corps Marathon (MCM)
Known as “The People’s Marathon,” the Marine Corps Marathon is one of the largest marathons in the world and honors the dedication, service, and sacrifice of the United States Marine Corps. Each October, runners from across the globe gather in Arlington, Virginia and Washington, D.C. to tackle the 26.2-mile course.
What makes the MCM unique is its mission: it celebrates the perseverance of everyday runners while paying tribute to our nation’s military. The course winds through iconic landmarks like the National Mall, the Pentagon, and Arlington National Cemetery, finishing at the Marine Corps War Memorial, where U.S. Marines place medals around runners’ necks.
Running the MCM isn’t just about the miles — it’s about community, patriotism, and making an impact. By supporting my fundraising efforts, you’re helping me honor our service members and contribute to K9s for Warriors.
