In honor of Veterans Day, Wargaming, the publisher and developer of the world’s leading naval battle MMO World of Warships, is proud to celebrate the brave men and women of the U.S. military by supporting K9s For Warriors, with exclusive rewards for Veterans, new commanders coming to the game, and a fun dog photo contest.
A Sailor’s Best Friend:
To recognize the heroes of military forces, Wargaming is donating $10,000 to K9s For Warriors to fund the training of a Service Dog for a Veteran in need. World of Warships is calling on its players to post to social channels (Facebook, Instagram, and X/Twitter) a photo of their dog using the hashtag #Ships4Pups, tagging World of Warships (@worldofwarships on all platforms), and including a story about their four-legged friend. For every photo submitted until November 16, Wargaming will donate $5 to K9s For Warriors, up to another $10,000 in fundraising. Throughout this campaign, World of Warships will be selecting 5 pictures per week to be featured highlighting dogs and their stories, especially if these pictures are naval-themed! Players with featured posts will win a Black Friday 2024 Premium Container.
Exclusive Rewards for Vets:
Introducing World of Warships Salute, a special program for active duty and Veteran military members. In partnership with ID.me, this program provides exclusive rewards for military members. Players who have a valid Military ID will be able to link their Wargaming account to ID.me and will acquire the premium US Cruiser Albany and DD 214 Destroyer, with an exclusive Combat Veteran Permanent Camouflage, and exclusive Military Veteran flag. The DD 214 was chosen because of the real USS Tracy, a Clemson class destroyer, but also for being the famed circular name for the Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty.
