Our Chapter came onto campus in the fall of 2016 and just over a year later we received our charter and officially became the Zeta Omega Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order. Throughout our time here, we haven't necessarily struggled with philanthropy, but it has never been something we've been super passionate about. Operation K.A.R.E is going to change that. Operation K.A.R.E. is dedicated to giving back to wounded veterans in one of the coolest ways possible. Chapters raise money to purchase a Track Chair, an all-terrain wheelchair that can be used for hiking, hunting, fishing, and even golf. Thirty of our 50 active members have relatives in their immediate family that have served in the armed forces. With that being said, the vast majority of our brothers can really connect with this cause and are very excited to be a part of something so great. Our chapter plans to raise $20,000 to buy a Track Chair for an individual who gave their ability to walk for the country they love. We will be reaching out to alumni, family members, businesses, and more to help us achieve our goal. Although there is no way we can ever repay what has been sacrificed, we want to show our veteran how much we appreciate all they have done.
