In 2005 my dad received the results of his DNA test for Kennedy's Disease: positive. With this result I learned that the disease is genetic and that I'm a carrier. It has been 20 years since my dad passed in June of 2005. To honor his memory, I'm taking STEPS to raise awareness and seek donations to support research. Be sure to read my story in the 'Featured Participant Stories' on the fundraising home page.
Demonstrating Support for Kennedy's Disease Association
I’m participating in the 100-Step Challenge, a fundraiser supporting Kennedy's Disease Association!
Why 100 Steps? For those with Kennedy's Disease, even taking a few steps can be a challenge. This fundraising campaign represents the resilience of those living with KD and symbolizes the steps we're taking toward better treatment, support, and ultimatley, a cure.
This cause is dear to my heart, and I need your help! Every donation—big or small—helps to reach my fundraising goal and directly impacts this important cause.
Here's how you can help:
Donate: Contribute whatever you can. No amount is too small!
Spread the Word: Share my fundraising page with your friends, family, and social networks. Let’s spread awareness so we can raise more!
Thank you for standing by me in this effort. Your support means the world to me!
