The Scleroderma Foundation of California is celebrating its
23rd Key to a Cure Gala on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Marriott Hotel in Marina del Rey. It is going to be a fun and festive night featuring a fabulous auction, dinner and dancing.
The Key to a Cure Gala is an event in which the community comes together to celebrate and honor those individuals who work tirelessly to support the Scleroderma Foundation of California and those who care for patients as medical professionals and as caregivers.
This year we are so proud to honor:
Florence Heckenbach will receive the President’s Award for her, for her generous endowment gift to the foundation, named in honor of her daughter. This significant contribution represents the largest gift ever bestowed upon the organization
Josephine Battyany will posthumously receive the Helen Greenburg Memorial Spirit of Leadership Award for her pivotal role in founding the organization and for her years dedicated to helping scleroderma patients, and shaping the Foundation as it is today.
Scleroderma is an autoimmune connective tissue disease that can affect nearly every part of the body and can result in debilitating effects including hardening of the skin and internal organs and death. The Scleroderma Foundation of California has been dedicated to addressing the patient needs of people with scleroderma and their caregivers.
