My wife Phyllis was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2012. On May 20, 2024 Phyllis succumbed to stage IV kidney cancer more than 12 years after her initial diagnosis. Phyllis is my best friend and my greatest inspiration, and she was a staunch advocate for KidneyCAN during her fight. In lieu of flowers at her memorial service, we are asking you to support the KidneyCAN Steps for Phyllis Memorial fundraiser in her honor. In 2022 I decided to surprise Phyllis by fundraising a large donation to KidneyCAN. In September that year I walked over a million steps (500 miles) with my dog Kita and raised more than $4,500. All proceeds were donated to KidneyCAN and designated for kidney cancer research. Last year our fundraising team grew to six walkers and together we walked over two million steps – that’s 1000 miles - in September 2023. Please help us continue the tradition of honoring Phyllis' fight.
