Experience the Twin Cities kids culinary event of the year with the 2018 Kids Chef Event! Enjoy delicious food tastings from various teams of 10 kid chefs lead by local notable chefs! All proceeds benefit Pinky Swear Foundation to help kids with cancer and their families.
Participants of the event will be made up of kids, ages 5-18, on teams of 10 with 1 (or more) All Star per team. Chefs from notable eateries such as Manny’s, Pittsburgh Blue and other high-end restaurants in the metro area, will serve as team captains to guide the participants in making dishes to be served at the tasting portion of the event later in the evening. Each team will also be accompanied by two or more parent or adult helpers/chaperones.
The kids will be responsible for working with the chefs from 3:00-6:00 pm in preparing, cooking and then plating the food for all guests that attend the tasting.
The tasting portion of the event (6:00-8:00 pm) will offer event guests the opportunity to visit each of the team stations and taste each item (entrée, vegetable, starch). Guests will be asked to rank the teams later (or vote for one winner). Drinks will also be served.
