The Leaven's award-winning tutoring and mentorship programs allows well equipped teams to move into low-income communities and provide tutoring to K-5 students dealing with poverty and violence. The program is proven to improve their reading comprehension and overall school performance year after year.
Our programs have shown that when children are successful in school, and have a positive adult influence in their lives, they are significantly less likely to drop out, commit a crime, or join a gang. We work tirelessly to revitalize neighborhoods by providing year-round educational programs, as well as a safe place where parents know their children are protected and well cared for.
