My name is Teddy, and I'm super excited because I'm running for King of the Jungle to help raise money for the San Antonio Zoo. The zoo is one of my favorite places in the whole world! I've been visiting since I was just a baby, and now I go there twice a week because I just started this year at the Will Smith Zoo School.
I've had some pretty special moments at the zoo, like my birthday party last July and being the ring bearer in my godmother's wedding at the zoo. Showing my family around the zoo and pointing out different animals, what they eat, and other fun facts is the best. I love that I can see where all the animal homes are from the map so I always know where to lead them. I enjoy going to the zoo with any family member who will take me, whether it’s my mom and dad, my grandparents, my great-grandparents, my aunts and uncles, or my godparents. We have the best time, and I always ask a ton of questions about the animals.
My favorite giraffe at the zoo is named Waffles. I always make sure to ask if the feeding includes acacia leaves because they’re a giraffe’s favorite food!
At Zoo School, we get to learn about all different types of animals. I love coming home and telling my mom and dad about the snakes, the capybara, the meerkats, or any other animal we learn about. The zoo is my special place where I love to be.
