Dear friends and family,

Hello from Meredith & Rick Wright :) Sending much love to all of you, our past participants and volunteers for the Susan Wright Memorial Golf Outing. From our family to yours, we send wishes for health and a Happy Thanksgiving during this very unusual year.

As you may know, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving marks 'Giving Tuesday.'  This year, instead of physically coming together for a golf outing to raise funds, our family is 'team captain' for a Giving Tuesday fundraiser on behalf of my brother’s day program operated by The Arc of Essex County.

You have generously supported my family and our efforts to raise funds for The Arc over the years. While COVID has upended our world and placed the Susan Wright Memorial Golf Outing on hold for now, your ability to make a difference is something you can control by supporting worthy causes like this!

The past 8 months have not been easy, but The Arc of Essex County has done everything they can to maintain a sense of normalcy for the children and adults they serve, including rolling out virtual services (screenshot of me Facetiming Bill below, along with pics from our outdoor masked visits during the summer).  While Billy and his friends regularly participate in virtual activities from home, the day program could use a technology upgrade to better produce and facilitate virtual activities enabling attendees to remain connected with their peers.

My dad and I have set a goal to raise $1,800 for SYA’s tech upgrades.
