Why We Bowl?

Junior Achievement (JA) of Kansas is dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices.

Last year, JA reached over 28,000 students in 1,338 classrooms across Kasnas, with over 6,000 of those students being in Douglas County and surrounding communities. We did it with the help of supporters like you! With your fundraising efforts, we can reach more children, improving their futures and building a stronger Kansas.

Be a Superhero for Kansas Kids!

The JA Bowl-a-thon is a weekend full of fun, prizes, bowling, and camaraderie. This year's sessions will be held Friday, October 25 through Sunday, October 27 at Royal Crest Lanes, 933 Iowa Street, Lawrence KS 66044.

Our force of more than 1,000 volunteers go into the classroom and teach children the skills they need to succeed using age-appropriate, hands-on activities that deliver important knowledge in a fun and interactive way. Our volunteer role models, who come from all avenues of business, provide real-world experiences and knowledge.

The Bowl-a-thon raises much needed funds to provide training to classroom volunteers and program materials for students in elementary, middle, and high school. Thanks for being a hero to Kansas kids!
