This month marks 5 years since I heard the news that I have lung cancer. Research done before I was diagnosed lead to advancements that created the treatment that has worked for all this time. This treatment will stop working at some point and I will need a new plan. The only way I will have this new plan is for research to continue. ALK Positive uses your donations to fund critical research that might not otherwise get funded. ALK Postiive medications are used in other cancers driven by this mutation/biomarker like neuroblastoma,anaplastic large cell lymphoma, Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor, thyroid cancers, Glioblastoma, Rhabdomyosarcoma ,Astrocytoma ,Ewing's sarcoma ,Retinoblastoma ,Kidney, breast, colon, and ovarian carcinomas  and Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
